Terms

Program terms

Effective November 6, 2026. These terms apply to the Clearer Choice online Alcohol & Drug Awareness Program.

Educational program only

Clearer Choice provides general education. It does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, counselling, emergency services, or legal advice. A Certificate of Completion is not a professional licence, clinical credential, government approval, or proof that a legal or workplace requirement has been satisfied.

Acceptance is your responsibility

Courts, lawyers, probation officers, employers, schools, insurers, and other referring authorities set their own requirements. Before registering or paying, you must confirm that the specific online program, duration, assignments, assessment, and certificate will be accepted. Clearer Choice does not guarantee acceptance or any legal, employment, insurance, or academic outcome.

Eligibility and accurate identity

You must be at least 18 years old unless Clearer Choice has expressly agreed to another arrangement with a parent, guardian, or referring organization. You must register under your own legal name, keep your account secure, and personally complete the work. Impersonation, automation, copied assignments, shared answers, or manipulation of study-time records may lead to review, suspension, or certificate revocation.

Completion requirements

Completion requires six documented hours across all modules, written reflection and prevention-plan submissions meeting the stated requirements, and an assessment score of at least 80%. Up to three ordinary assessment attempts are included. When the platform verifies those objective requirements, it automatically issues a dated PDF Certificate of Completion and emails it to the learner’s account address.

Fees and refunds

The price displayed at checkout is in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable tax may be added. If you made a duplicate payment or cannot access the service because of a verified technical failure, contact support promptly. Other refund requests are assessed according to program use, payment-provider rules, and applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms limits a non-waivable legal right.

Certificate status

Certificates include a unique identifier and public verification record. Clearer Choice may correct, suspend, or revoke a certificate obtained through fraud, identity misrepresentation, material platform abuse, or an administrative error. Case details and written work are not shown by the public verifier.

Safety

Do not use this course during an emergency. Call 911 for immediate danger or a suspected overdose. In Canada, call or text 988 for suicide crisis support. Contact a qualified healthcare or treatment provider for personal assessment or care.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the service accurate and available but may perform maintenance, correct errors, or update content. To the extent permitted by law, Clearer Choice is not responsible for a third party’s refusal to accept a certificate or for decisions made in place of professional advice.

Contact and governing law

Contact support@clearerchoice.ca for service questions. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without limiting mandatory consumer protections in another jurisdiction.
